DAHLONEGA -- Morgan Wood had two hits, including a grand slam, to lead Lumpkin County to a 7-3 win over Chestatee Tuesday in Region 8-AAA softball action.
Ashley Brown tossed a complete game for the Lady Indians (8-5, 5-2 in region) who will begin play in the annual North Fall Classic Tournament on Wednesday.
It was the third wi in the last four games for the Lady Indians, who remained in fourth place in the region standings.
