GAINESVILLE - The Hall County School District (HCSD) has invited nationally known health and wellness experts to share tips for better nutrition and fitness with the students and families of Friendship Elementary School, a Wellness School of choice.
"Family Wellness Night" is part of a new school wellness pilot program developed by UnitedHealthcare and United Health Foundation in conjunction with the Hall County School District. The program works with educators, students, parents and the community to turn the tide on childhood obesity.
School officials say the evening will include four "entertaining and informative" sessions during which students and families will learn strategies for healthier living:
