ELBERTON -- Lindsey Miles and Raegen Sandy had three hits each and combined for four RBI to lead Jefferson to a 14-5 win over Elbert County Tuesday in Region 8-AA girls softball play.
The Lady Dragons (4-10, 2-1 in region) overcame two early deficits in the middle innings and and then put the game away with seven runs in seventh inning.
Elbert led 2-0 after the first inning and then took a 5-2 lead into the fourth inning. Jefferson grabbed the lead for good with five runs in the fourth before exploding in the final inning.
Meagan Faulkner, Cathryn Knight, and Leah Pryor had two hits each for Jefferson.
Savannah Snapp got the win for the Lady Dragons allowing six hits and no earned runs as the two teams combined for 12 errors.
