Softball: Union County smacks Towns County, 8-0

BLAIRSVILLE -- The Union County softball team blanked Towns County 8-0 in five innings on Tuesday in Blairsville.

Angie Hughes earned the win in the pitching circle for the Lady Panthers, going four innings and striking out nine while allowing just one hit.

Catie Tanner helped pace Union County at the plate, going 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored. Courtney Busbee, Becka Merritt, Callie Dyer and Madison Rich all drove in runs for the Lady Panthers.
