The International League announced Monday that Gwinnett Braves outfielder Jose Constanza has won the International League Player of the Week Award for the week of June 6-12.
The Dominican Republic native is the first Gwinnett position player to win the honor since INF/OF Matt Young nabbed it for the week of Aug. 16-22, 2010.
The G-Braves have now won back-to-back PoW Awards (last week's went to pitcher Mike Minor) and have an IL-leading five Player/Pitcher of the Week Awards already in 2011.
