Ga. Force to collect items for tornado victims

ATLANTA - The Georgia Force will be working with Toomer's for Tuscaloosa  Georgia Division and the American Red Cross to collect essential items to assist the victims of the recent tornados that devastated several communities in Georgia.

On Friday, the Force will have a truck placed in the parking lot of the Arena at Gwinnett Center to collect the donations. Each person making a donation will receive a voucher for a free ticket to that night's Arena Football League game against the Utah Blaze. The truck will begin accepting donations at 7:00 a.m. and will continue until game time at 8:05 p.m.

After collecting the items, the Force will then deliver the items to two of the hardest hit areas in Georgia - Ringgold and Trenton. To assist in this delivery Idealease of Atlanta has donated a truck and Progressive Container & Display of Winder has donated boxes. Some of the items that are needed most are listed below.

Toiletries - New, unused

* Razors
* Deodorant
* Shampoo
* Soap
* Diapers [Adult & Children]
* Baby Wipes
* Alcohol Swabs individual packets
* Band-Aids
* Q-Tips
* Hand Sanitizers

Hardware

* Tarps
* Nails
* Ropes

Etc.

* Gas Cards  (Generators are running out of gas)

Food & etc.

* Canned food all types
* Pasta and Pasta sauces
* Cases of water
* Bread
* Pre-packaged foods
* Disposable plates
* Disposable Utensils
* Disposable cups
* Paper Towels/Napkins

Clothing - New, unused

* Socks [Men's & Women's]
* Underwear [Men's & Women's]
* T-shirts
