Gainesville man, woman arrested in connection with Tenn. murder

GAINESVILLE - A Gainesville man and woman have been arrested in connection with a murder in Monroe County, Tennessee.

Col. Jeff Strickland of the Hall County Sheriff's Office says that Sunday night the sheriff's office was contacted by Tennessee authorities requesting assistance in arresting Nicholas Ronnie Dean Jones, 19, of Gainesville who was believed to in the Hall County area.

Strickland says deputies developed leads and on Monday around noon Jones agreed to surrender to officers. He agreed to meet deputies at a public park on Pearl Nix Parkway where he was taken into custody without incident. Jones is currently being held in the Hall County Jail awaiting extradition to Tennessee.

Also arrested in connection with this incident was Brandy Elizabeth Ann Wiseman, 19, Gainesville. Wiseman is also being held in the Hall County Jail awaiting extradition. She was arrested earlier Monday around 4:00 at a house on Duckett Mill Road.
