Services for Bill Evans set for Tuesday

GAINESVILLE - The funeral service will be held Tuesday for former Hall County Planning Commission member and former county commissioner Bill Evans.

Evans, who was 72, died Saturday at his Flowery Branch home following an extended illness.

Evans, the owner/operator of Evans Wrecker Service, served on the planning commission for four years. He was a member of the county commission in 1979 when all five members were recalled during a dispute over operation of the county fire department.
