Evans, who was 72, died Saturday at his Flowery Branch home following an extended illness.
Evans, the owner/operator of Evans Wrecker Service, served on the planning commission for four years. He was a member of the county commission in 1979 when all five members were recalled during a dispute over operation of the county fire department.
