DAWSONVILLE -- The Dawson County girls basketball team snapped a two-game losing streak Friday night with a 54-37 win over rival Lumpkin County.
The Lady Tigers trailed 12-11 after the first quarter but outscored the Lady Indians 12-9 in the second quarter to grab the lead for good. They used a 16-6 third quarter to take control of the game.
frehsman post player Sheyenne Seabolt paced Dawson County (2-4) with 14 points and four rebounds. Kim Wallace added nine points and three steals, Carly Gilreath had eight points, and Kenna Seitz had seven points and four rebounds for the Lady Tigers.
