GAINESVILLE -- Lakeview Academy rallied from a 7-6 deficit to beat Georgia Military 14-7 Friday night.
The Lions (3-4) blocked a Georgia Military punt and then scored on the next play to retake the lead and then converted a two-point conversion. The Lakeview defense then held off the Bulldogs in the fourth quarter to preserve the win, the second straight for the Lions and their third win in the last four games.
Lakeview Academy took the early lead with a 56-yard TD run for a 6-0 lead but would miss the extra point. Georgia Military answered back with a touchdown and a successful extra point for a 7-6 lead.
Lakeview Academy will close out its season next week on the road against Towns County.
