ATLANTA - Neither rain, nor sleet, nor dark of night stops the U.S. Postal Service, but a big January snow storm in Georgia sure can slow it down.
Michael Miles with the U.S. Postal Service in Atlanta tells Georgia News Network service will be sporadic Monday.
"We have some post offices that are open throughout the area but on a very limited basis and we have sporadic mail delivery," Miles said.
Miles said postal workers had the same problem most other folks had getting to work in the snow and ice.
"Because of the hazardous road conditions, many of our employees have had problems getting to work, so that's caused us to have limited availability of services throughout the area.
