GAINESVILLE - The principal at Oakwood Elementary School has been tapped to become principal at West Hall Middle School.
Dr. Karla Swafford has been at Oakwood since 2006.
Hall County Schools Superintendent Will Schofield's recommendation will be presented to the Hall County School Board June 14.
Dr. Swafford would replace Dr. Sarah Justus who recently announced her retirement.
Prior to coming to Oakwood, Dr. Swafford served as assistant principal at two Hall County schools: Lanier Career Academy and North Hall Middle. Dr. Swafford came to Hall County after spending the first seven years of her career in the Gwinnett County School System.
