Cleveland)- Seventeen Firefighters from White County and several surrounding departments recently participated in an 18 hour Georgia Emergency Management Agency class dealing with Crash Victim Vehicle Extrication.
Ana Newberry White County Fire Department spokeswoman said a total 28 firefighters attended the course conducted this past weekend. According to Newberry the firefighters participated in the training in order to re-certify their credentials on how to properly use "the Jaws of Life", cribbing, spreaders, and the many other tools involved when extricating an entrapped patient from a vehicle.
GEMA instructors Barry Church and Jimmy Ball provided the training and J.B. Ramey offered the use of his facility and some of his vehicles for the training.
