Double-homicide suspects bound over to Superior Court

By Ken Stanford Contributing Editor
DAWSONVILLE - The two suspects in a double-homicide in Dawson County just before Christmas have been bound over to Superior Court.

District Attorney Lee Darragh says the case against Jesse James Kilgore and Benjamin Kelly Mullinax is scheduled to be presented to the March term of the Dawson County Grand Jury. They are accused of killing Jennifer Budrawich and her husband, Paul, and dumping their bodies into the Amicalola River.

The Budrawichs were from Effingham County and were in Dawson County for a holiday visit with her children who lived with relatives in northeast Georgia.

Investigators have not revealed a possible motive for the murders but Kilgore is Jennifer's stepfather and is also the father of one of her children.
