Jackson Named White County Manager

(Cleveland)-White County Commissioners have tapped former State Senator Carol Jackson to be the new White County Manager. Jackson along with Tim Merritt of Clermont were named the two finalist for the position two weeks ago.

At a called meeting Thursday morning the commissioners voted unanimously to hire Jackson. Commission Chairman Travis Turner said they are excited about the knowledge and experience that Jackson will bring to the office. The commissioners said Jackson will receive $75,000-dollars a year, a $500-dollar a month vehicle allowance, and normal employee health coverage.
