When Babes in the Woods Become Bears in the Forrest

The innocence of a child is indisputable. Not only is it in indisputable, it is deserved. For most of us, despite our adulthood, many of our fondest memories are related to that age of innocence. Not a care in the world and within the confines of those whose initial goal in life was to blanket us with unlimited love and adoration. Unfortunately, we know all too well how quickly that innocence can fade. There is something about getting older that is not conducive to anything that might resemble innocence. In fact, sooner rather than later, we discover just how cruel life can sometimes be.<br />

But, it is alarming how quickly this transformation, from innocence to cruel reality, is now occurring. It is no longer a gradual progression from sweet and innocent children to pre-pubescent stage and eventually to the dreaded teenager.
