One adult suspect in death of teen still in jail

JEFFERSON - One of two adults charged in the drug overdose death of a Jackson County teenager remains behind bars.

The two adults, along with two juveniles, were arrested last week and charged with causing the drug-related death of 14-year-old Brittany Nicole Brown of Hoschton last December.

Hoschton police and the GBI say an autopsy concluded that Brown died from an overdose of oxycodone and Xanax.

40-year-old Mark Ingram has been freed on $6,000 but 37-year-old Donna McDonald is still being held in the jackson County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond.

McDonald is charged with involuntary manslaughter and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Ingram and two male juveniles are were each charged with drug offenses.
