Like so many others, I was amazed at the story this week where two teenagers had been arrested for taking a virtual arsenal to a local school. According to the reports, it was an amount of firearms and ammunition that apparently could have saved the Alamo. Even more amazing, law enforcement officials claim that there is no indication that they had any plans to commit any acts of violence at the school. No one has said exactly what their reason was for taking all of this firepower to school. Who knows, maybe they got confused and thought that there was a gun show taking place and they were just going to show off their toys. Or maybe, it is like other similar stories that we have heard where the kids were just trying to impress someone with their weapons. What seventeen year old girl would not be impressed by someone who owns 45 guns or so and just happens to have them in the truck, in the school parking lot, if she would like to see them?
