Tennis: Lakeview boys bounce back against RMA

The Lakeview Academy boys tennis team defeated Riverside Military Academy 4-1 on Tuesday.

Nekhil Patel swept Andres Osegueda 6-0, 6-0, at No. 1 singles, while Mike Fowler won 6-2, 6-3, at No. 2 singles over Tom Kerekes.

Riverside's Joe Kowalski pulled a point back at No. 3 singles, defeating Todd Williams 6-0, 6-0. But the Lions swept the doubles points with Matt Morris and Alex Klecan winning at No. 1 doubles and Sean Casey and Jackson Beck winning at No. 2 doubles.

The victory helped Lakeview (1-1) bounce back from a 4-1 loss on Thursday, Feb. 26, at Jefferson

Mike Fowler was the only Lion to win, defeating Sky Porter 6-1, 6-4, at No. 2 singles

Meanwhile, the Lady Lions (0-1) were swept by Jefferson in the same, season-opening match, 5-0.
