GAINESVILLE - There's a new man in charge of fire management for the U.S. Forest Service (USFS) in the Blue Ridge Ranger District in northeast Georgia.<br />

David Kuykendall has worked with the USFS in the Chattahoochee National Forest District for more than 18 years, most recently serving as an Outdoor Recreation Planner.<br />
<br />
Kuykendall's new job puts him in charge of response to wildfires and promoting fire prevention in the Chattahoochee.<br />
<br />
The Blue Ridge District covers more than 300,000 acres in Fannin, Towns, Union, Gilmer, Dawson and Lumpkin counties.
