(Cleveland)- Former White County Manager Alton Brown was in Cleveland Municipal Court earlier this week and agreed to a negotiated plea to charges following his arrest back in July, at which time he was charged with driving under the influence and open container.
Brown was given a 12 month suspended sentence following payment of $1,000 fine and court cost on a negotiated wreckless driving charge and $100 fine and court cost on the open container charge.
62-year old Brown was terminate as county manager by the White County Commissioners shortly after his arrest after serving at that position since 2003.
Brown who still lives in Cleveland reportedly has been offered a couple of administrative positions in South Carolina.
