sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing.<br />
Most of us have heard these all too familiar lyrics hundreds of times throughout our lives. It is probably now more of a habit than a patriotic moment as we remove our hats and mumble through the words moving our lips in unison with the person next to us as we wait for that one line that we still know. But, mainly as is the case with our National Anthem, we are just waiting for the thing to be over with so that we can get on with the business at hand. Whether it is a ballgame, or other sporting event we seem to have no trouble reciting the entire roster, and their bios, of either team. Our intentions are still good for the most part, but it has just lost a bit of its luster after all this time. We want to muster up those feelings of loyalty, pride, and love for country, but most of us could not squeeze out a tear if someone stuck an onion in our front pockets.<br />
