Caray family to hold public memorial Monday

The family of the late Braves announcer Skip Caray will hold a public memorial service on Aug. 11 at Christ the King Cathedral in Atlanta.

The cathedral sits on the corner of Peachtree Road and Peachtree Way, south of West Wesley Road. The service is scheduled for 4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the Caray family asks that donations be made to one of the following charities: Camp Twin Lakes, Winship Cancer Institute at Emory University, and the Small Dog Rescue and Humane Society.
