CLARKESVILL- Habersham County commissioners think they can get by with less money in the coming year.
Unlike most of the local government and school spending plans we are hearing about these days, the proposed Habersham County budget is down 5.1 percent from this year's.
Included in the $28.4 million document is a hiring freeze, an 8.6 percent increase in the cost of fuel and employee pay raises of just over 3.5 percent.
