Kenny Rogers moving to Jackson Co.

By The Associated Press
ATLANTA - Kenny Rogers has put his Buckhead home up for sale for $7.95 million and is headed back to northeast Georgia.

The Atlanta-Journal Constitution reports Rogers is planning to move with his wife, Wanda, and their twin 4-year-old boys to a 150-acre estate in Nicholson in Jackson County.

The six-bedroom, six-and-a-half bath Buckhead home, where they have lived for 17 months, has 9,000 square feet and is offered for sale fully furnished.

In addition to the Nicholson home now under construction, the fenced 150 acres will include a seven-acre lake stocked with fish and five miles of groomed trails for walking or biking.

Rogers, 69, said the project is taking so much of his energy that he is putting off writing songs for a new project.
