ATLANTA - Metro Gainesville gained 200 new jobs last month, with the state adding a total of 5,300.
All but two of the state's 13 metro areas showed an increase in new jobs during the period.
Only Macon and Warner Robins reported a decline in the number of new jobs.
The state Labor Department also reports that Georgia's unemployment rate declined to 5 percent in April, down two-tenths of 1 percent from March.
