State Supreme Court upholds Forsyth murder conviction

By Ken Stanford Contributing Editor
CUMMING - A Forsyth County murder conviction has been upheld by the state Supreme Court.

In an 11-page ruling released Monday, the court turned down an appeal by Edna Irene Hester.

Hester is serving a life sentence for the August 2003 death of Donna Parris, who died after she was hit in the head by a lamp Hester threw at her.

Hester was convicted in January 2006 by a Forsyth County jury.
