GAINESVILLE - The retiring head of animal control in Hall County has been honored by the local humane society. <br />

The Humane Society of Hall County held a reception Monday night for Phillips.<br />
<br />
At the meeting, it was announced that the meeting room at the animal control office will be named in his honor. Phillips is retiring next month after more than 30 years on the job. <br />
