Gladiators to broadcast Games on TV

Duluth - The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that they have partnered with the Gwinnett Sports Commission and the Gwinnett Convention and Visitors Bureau and TVGwinnett channel 23 to broadcast select Gladiators games during the remainder of the 2007-08 season.

The Gladiators will have three tape delayed broadcasts on TVGwinnett channel 23 presented by the Gwinnett Sports Commission during the remainder of the 2007-08 season.

The first game that will be taped and then replayed on TVGwinnett channel 23 will be this Saturday's 7:35 p.m. game against Augusta at the Arena at Gwinnett Center. The game will be rebroadcast on Monday, March 10th at 7:30 p.m. on TVGwinnett channel 23 in Gwinnett County.

The Gladiators will also have the Saturday, April 5th game against the Charlotte Checkers replayed the following Monday on TVGwinnett channel 23 presented by the Gwinnett Sports Commission. In addition, the Gladiators February 8th game against the Wheeling Nailers will be replayed at a later date on TVGwinnett channel 23.

Gladiators Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations Dustin Bixby will handle the play by play for the broadcasts.

TVGwinnett is carried by all cable operators in Gwinnett County on Channel 23. TVGwinnett is on channel 23 on the Comcast, Charter, Bellsouth Entertainment, and Adelphia cable television franchises in Gwinnett County.

The Gladiators continue their fifth anniversary season on Saturday, March 10th as they host the Augusta Lynx at the Arena at Gwinnett Center at 7:35 p.m. Catch all the play-by-play action in Saturday's game on WDUN, News Talk 550.

Celebrating its 20th Anniversary as the Premier 'AA' Hockey League in 2007-08, the ECHL began in 1988-89 with five teams in three states and has grown to be a coast-to-coast league that has 25 teams in 17 states and British Columbia in 2007-08. The 25 teams includes the Mississippi (Biloxi) Sea Wolves, who return after missing two seasons in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and the expansion Elmira (N.Y.) Jackals. The ECHL will play 900 games beginning Oct. 18 and concluding Apr. 5.
