DENVER (AP).General manager Billy Knight said yesterday that Pachulia is suspended for one game because of ``conduct detrimental to the team.''
Pachulia had a run-in with coach Mike Woodson over substitutions during Monday's 111-109 overtime loss to Portland at Philips Arena. At one point, he waved his arms at Woodson, and after a brief exchange during a timeout Woodson sent Pachulia to the locker room with less than 10 minutes to play.
The 6-foot-11, 280-pound Pachulia has averaged 14.4 points in 19 games this season, including five starts, with an average of 4.6 points and 3.4 rebounds.
The suspension only applies to the game against the Nuggets. Pachulia will be available when the Hawks play at Seattle on Friday.
