Highfill and Carter guide Bridgewater to easy victory over LaGrange

<p>Jeff Highfill threw for 270 yards and two touchdowns and Phillip Carter had 108 yards rushing and three scores to lead Bridgewater to a 39-14 win over LaGrange on Saturday.</p><p>The Eagles (4-0) took a 16-7 lead in the first quarter when Highfill connected with Brandon Copeland for a 64-yard touchdown. Highfill, who completed 17-of-27 passes, threw no interceptions.</p><p>Bridgewater continued its dominance in the second half over the Panthers (0-4), as Andy Ropp caught a 31-yard scoring pass from Highfill to give the Eagles a 25-7 lead. Carter, who had 15 carries, scored on runs of 40, 1 and 3 yards.</p><p>Drew Carter threw for 202 yards and a touchdown, while Brandon Crawford had 95 yards on 18 carries for LaGrange.</p>
