HOMER - A punishing Greene County rushing attack was just too much for Banks County in a 44-7 win for the Tigers Friday night in a Region 8-AA cross-over game.
Greene County had over 500 yards of total offense as five different players scored and also got a safety following a bad snap on a punt by the Leopards.
Banks County's only points came on a 93-yard interception return by Justin Beasley.
Greene County scored three times on the ground with rushing touchdowns from Tahj Wingfield, a 23-yard run from Davante Smith, and another scoring run from Dontravious Wright.
The Tigers scored through the air, two coming on 47- and 50-yard bombs.
Banks County (1-3) next will travel to Washington-Wilkes (1-3) in another 8-AA cross-over matchup.
