Flight attendant arrested; allegedly drunk on plane

<p>A flight attendant was arrested at Blue Grass Airport after being escorted from a plane because she was allegedly drunk.</p><p>Atlantic Southeast Airlines, the carrier operating the Delta flight on Sunday, confirmed Monday that a flight attendant was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence, alcohol intoxication and terroristic threatening.</p><p>The Fayette County Detention Center listed Sarah Mills, 26, as an inmate being held on the same charges. Mills was also being held without bond on a charge of being intoxicated while a crew member, which requires a review by the Federal Aviation Administration.</p><p>Mills was scheduled to be arraigned Monday afternoon in Fayette District Court.</p><p>WKYT-TV in Lexington reported Mills was pulled of the plane and placed on a stretcher.</p><p>Delta officials canceled the flight to Atlanta because there weren't enough crew members, but passengers were given the option to board other flights, said Kate Modolo, spokeswoman for Atlantic Southeast Airlines. The airline would not release the attendant's name.</p><p>"We haven't encountered this particular situation before," Modolo said. "Fortunately we have more than 900 flight attendants who perform their duties at an extremely high level every day with the safety and best interest of passengers at the top of their mind."</p>
