Habersham County Manager resigns

CLARKESVILLE - The Habersham County Manager has resigned.

A brief statement released by County Commission Chairman Jim Butterworth said Ed Sealover's resignation is effective immediately, but gave no reason for it.

"We appreciate the expertise that Mr. Sealover has in many areas and we feel that Habersham County will benefit from the programs he has put in place," Butterworth said. "We wish him the best in his future edeavors."

Sealover, who has applied for similar jobs outside the state at least twice in the past three years, could not be reached for comment.

Butterworth said a search will begin immediately for a successor.
