"Whitey" Butler dead at 85

GAINESVILLE - Former Hall County Extension Agent O.L. "Whitey" Butler has died.

Butler died Sunday at Northeast Georgia Medical Center at the age of 85.

Butler came to Gaineville in 1956 as Associate County Extension Agent. He took over the office in 1962 and remained County Extension Agent until 1981 when he retired.

Arrangements will be announced later by Little-Davenport Funeral Home.
