More than 1,000 homes planned in Price Rd. development

GAINESVILLE - More than 1,000 homes are planned as part of a mixed-use development on Price Road in North Hall.

The site is at Price Road and Dudley Mill Road and consists of about 680 acres.

The proposal, scheduled to go before the Hall County Planning Commission June 18, also includes 14 acres set aside for a future school as well office/retail components.

Also on the agenda for that meeting are plans for a 124-lot subdivision on 69 acres in the Lula area. That tract is on Georgia Highway 52 at Georgia Highway 365. A neighborhood shopping center is also included in the proposal.

In addition, planners will consider a rezoning request involving 18 acres in South Hall on Wade Orr Road at Compass Drive. A mixed-used development is also planned there, to include office, recreation, retail and educational components.
