Wife of former UGA golf coach "disappointed" with allegations

<p>Jenna Daniels is standing by her man.</p><p>Daniels, the wife of former Georgia women's golf coach Todd McCorkle _ who resigned after complaints were lodged about inappropriate sexual comments _ said in a statement on her Web site that her husband has been a positive influence in the lives of those he's coached.</p><p>"Although I would like to keep our relationship private, I resent the questions about the integrity of my relationship with Todd and I am disappointed in the allegations against his integrity as a coach," she wrote.</p><p>McCorkle coached Daniels at Arizona when the Wildcats won the 2000 national championship. The two married in 2004, three years after he arrived at Georgia. He guided Georgia to an NCAA title in 2001, a year after he was hired from Arizona.</p><p>McCorkle's resignation was announced May 7. His resignation came after complaints about inappropriate sexual comments and jokes were lodged against him from UGA players, according to documents obtained by The Associated Press.</p><p>A memo said McCorkle was told he would have to go through extensive anti-harrassment training and would be suspended without pay for July. He resigned instead. Athletic director Damon Evans said McCorkle would remain employed in another, undisclosed, job with the athletic department.</p><p>The complaints were detailed in 48 pages of handwritten notes by UGA investigators from interviews with current and former players.</p><p>McCorkle was said to have shared a sexually explicit Paris Hilton video from the Internet with the team. Players reported McCorkle made remarks about bras and underwear color.
