Brother dies, sister nearly drowns at pool in Gwinnett County

<p>A toddler has died after he and his sister, who nearly drowned, were pulled from a Gwinnett County swimming pool, police said Monday.</p><p>Devin Moore, who had been taken to Gwinnett Medical Center after the incident, died during the night, police said. Gwinnett County police spokesman Corporal Darren Moloney said in a news release Monday that the sister is in stable condition at the medical center.</p><p>Devin and his sister, whose name was not released, were with their mother at an indoor playground pool at the Bogan Park Aquatic Center in Buford Sunday evening.</p><p>Gwinnett County Fire Lt. Thomas Rutledge said the pool was being used for a private party and was manned by lifeguards. It ranges in depth from 1.6 to 3.6 feet.</p><p>Emergency personnel were sent to the pool shortly before 8 p.m., Rutledge said.</p><p>He said lifeguards revived the girl, and she was conscious, alert and breathing when firefighters arrived. The boy had been pulled out of the water, and lifeguards were trying to resuscitate him when fire crews arrived.</p><p>Fire officials turned over the investigation to county police.</p>
