Plans for new Dawson sewer plant moving forward

DAWSONVILLE - A private sewer plant proposed for Dawson County is gaining support among county leaders.

The facility would serve the eastern portion of the Georgia 400 corridor.

According to Norton Native Intelligence Marketwatch, the executive director of the Dawson County Development Authority is on board.

The county commission has also endorsed it, although one board member, Gary Pichon, recently expressed some concerns. According to the minutes of a Jan. 4 commission meeting, Pichon said "the Board should express concerns for the health and well-being of residents of Dawson County."
