CHESTNUT MOUNTAIN - The Village of Deaton Creek Thursday presented an assortment of toys, bicycles, and food products to the Hall County Sheriff's Office for distribution to the less fortunate in the county.
The idea for the donations grew out a crime prevention meeting Sheriff Steve Cronic and Sgt. Cliff Cagle presented to the Deaton Creek residents.
Sheriff Cronic said the items will be distributed to several special children in Hall County through the Hall County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Program.
