FLOWERY BRANCH - An airplane was moved from Flowery Branch to Gainesville Thursday, for repainting before it moves into its new home - Interactive Neighborhood for Kids, or INK.
The 52-year-old Aero Commander 560A is to be displayed at INK starting next month.
Alan Wayne, a member of Grand Pappy Airlines, the group that restored the plane, says it will be a "kids friendly" exhibit.
"(It) normally carries 5-7 adults," Wayne said, "but you could probably get 15 children in it."
The plane was taken to Cottrell,Inc. on Candler Road - via some South Hall back roads - to be painted and, Wayne says, will be in the INK museum by mid-December.
The route that was used was Atlanta Highway to Martin Road, through Royal Lakes Subdivision, to Candler Road.
