Second reported case of rabies this week

GAINESVILLE - For the second time this week and the third time in less than a month, there's a confirmed case of rabies in Hall County.

This time it was in the Habersham Walk area of West Hall and involves a raccoon that came in contact with a dog.

Two days ago, animal control officials confirmed that a raccoon found at Riverside Miliary Academy and on September 20 another case, this one in a fox, was confirmed in the Hillside Drive/Ivy Terrace area.
