GAINESVILLE - Technology & Learning's annual Leader of the Year program recognizes K-12 administrators, teachers, and tech directors whose "dedication and vision" have "profoundly touched the lives and futures of students, colleagues, community, "and whose use of technology in "innovative ways" help teachers teach and helps students learn.
Connie White, the Director of Technology at Lakeview Academy, was selected as a semifinalist for the program this year.
White is the only representative from Georgia with only five teachers/administrators representing the southeast. She coordinates the Internet Safety and Awareness seminars that are offered to the community at Lakeview. (The next one is Thursday Feb. 1).
"We're proud to recognize educators whose strategic leadership and ability to inspire change is reshaping the role technology plays in education," said Executive Editor/Associate Publisher Amy Poftak.
