Kentucky center Gonzalez out for season

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Kentucky backup center Jorge Gonzalez is out for the season after tearing two ligaments in his left knee during practice, Wildcats coach Rich Brooks said Thursday.<br> <br> Gonzalez, a redshirt freshman and the team&#39;s second-team center, injured his knee during practice Wednesday, becoming the team&#39;s second reserve center to be injured, Brooks said.<br> <br> Senior Travis Slaydon, another backup center, is sidelined indefinitely by a shoulder injury.<br> <br> Brooks said junior Eric Scott, who moved over from defensive end in preseason practice, and senior guard Trai Williams will be the reserve centers behind starter Matt McCutchan.<br> <br> (Copyright 2006 by The Associated Press.
