LEXINGTON, Ky. - Kentucky backup center Jorge Gonzalez is out for the season after tearing two ligaments in his left knee during practice, Wildcats coach Rich Brooks said Thursday.<br>

Gonzalez, a redshirt freshman and the team's second-team center, injured his knee during practice Wednesday, becoming the team's second reserve center to be injured, Brooks said.<br>

Senior Travis Slaydon, another backup center, is sidelined indefinitely by a shoulder injury.<br>

Brooks said junior Eric Scott, who moved over from defensive end in preseason practice, and senior guard Trai Williams will be the reserve centers behind starter Matt McCutchan.<br>
