KIRKLAND, Wash. - The New England Patriots have traded wide receiver Deion Branch to the Seattle Seahawks for a first-round draft pick.<br>

Branch, the M-V-P of the 2005 Super Bowl, held out all of training camp, demanding a new contract. He had one-year remaining on his existing five-year deal.<br>

Seattle expects to finalize a new, multiyear contract with the former Super Bowl M-V-P within a few days.<br>
<br>
Last season, he caught 78 passes for 98 yards and five touchdowns. In four seasons with the Pats, he had 213 receptions for just over 27-hundred yards and 14 touchdowns.<br>
