ATLANTA - A hearing in Dahlonega this week will address stream buffer variances in Georgia.
The meeting is one of three the state Environmental Protection Division (EPD) is holding around the state this month.
At issue is a proposed rule designed to clarify that "local ordinances providing for protection of required stream buffers may also contain provisions for a local buffer variance application and review process."
The meeting will be held Tuesday night at 6:00 at Dahlonega City Hall.
