<p>A Cobb County woman confined to her bed was killed late Wednesday in a house fire that began in her bedroom.</p><p>The fire, discovered about 12:30 a.m. Thursday, began in the bedroom of 59-year-old Roberta Brown and may have been caused by smoking, said Cobb County Fire Lt. Dan Dupree.</p><p>Brown, who was an invalid, was found in her upstairs bedroom. Dupree said two other adults and four children escaped unharmed.</p><p>Brown was in a hospital bed and had an oxygen tank in her room, fire officials said. They were trying to determine whether she was smoking at the time of the fire.</p><p>An autopsy will be conducted on her body.</p><p>The fire was confined to Brown's bedroom and caused little damage to the rest of the house, Dupree said.</p>
