Enotah DA withstands challenge

DAHLONEGA - Enotah Judicial Circuit District Attorney Stan Gunter won his primary election Tuesday by a ten percent margin, turning back challenger Jim Hallman.

With 97 percent of the precincts reporting in the four-county circuit, Gunter is shown with 3,219 or 55 percent of the vote and Jim Hallman 2,639 or 45 percent.

Hallman is a retired GBI agent who entered private law practice after ending his GBI career.
