You can vote again starting Monday

By by Ken Stanford
UNDATED - You can start voting again Monday in Gainesville, and elsewhere in Georgia.

That's when advance voting begins for the August 8 runoffs. The only local race on either ballot in Hall County will be the one for the GOP nomination for state Senate between Lee Hawkins and Mark Musselwhite. Musselwhite lead a three-man field July 18.

However, you'll find a number of state officies on both the
Democratic and Republican ballots which were not settled two weeks ago.

Remember, if you voted July 18 you must choose the same party's ballot for the runoff that you voted that day; if you did not vote July 18, you can vote in either the Democratic or Republican runoff.

The list of local races in the immediate Gainesville area is also slim.

Local runoffs will also be on the ballot in Barrow, Jackson and Forsyth. The only thing on the ballot in Jackson will be the Hawkins-Musselwhite race, since part of the 49th Senate District is in Jackson County.
